Customers can get Visa and MasterCard prepaid cards through NetSpend. The cards are issued by NetSpend in collaboration with state and federally authorized financial institutions and are guaranteed by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).

Users can use the cards to deposit, pay, withdraw, and manage money. In addition, customers can use services like person-to-person bank transfers, direct deposit of employer or government checks, SMS notifications, cashback rewards, budgeting tools, and a tier system savings account.

Netspend applications are convenient and straightforward to fill out; all you need is your name, address, and email address. Once the applicant’s identification has been verified, all applications are guaranteed approval, and new cards are mailed out within seven to ten business days.

How Do I Use Netspend Cards?

NetSpend prepaid cards can be used to pay for groceries gas, pay bills digitally, and make withdrawals from ATMs. Depending on your needs, they can be used as a credit card or a debit card. When used as a credit card, they usually charge a $1 transaction fee.

You must provide a personal identification number and a $2 service charge if you choose debit. Individual transaction fees can be waived by enrolling in a premium Fee Advantage Plan, which charges a monthly service fee of $5 to $9.95 as of 2015. ATM cash withdrawal fees range from $2.50 in the United States to more than $4.95 worldwide.

The sum of these fees varies, but they are frequently in the $1-$2 range. There are also ATM withdrawal costs, which vary according to the region, with foreign withdrawals being more expensive.

Over-the-counter cash withdrawals cost $2.50 per transaction, plus a transaction surcharge for international OTC cash withdrawals. Domestic ATM cash withdrawals cost $2.50, while overseas cash withdrawals cost $4.95 plus a foreign transaction fee.
