How to Enter the Venmo/Jack Harlow Giveaway?

As a college student, you could’ve entered the Jack Harlow – Venmo giveaway by following these steps:

  • Sign up for a Venmo account. Download the Venmo app on your phone and choose a sign-up method. Then, input the required info and set a new password. Once you verify your mobile phone and email address, your account should be ready.
  • Visit http://Venmo.com and input the same mobile phone number you used to create your Venmo account.
  • Spin the wheel for a chance to instantly win anything from $1 to $500 (the money was sent by Jack Harlow).

After going through these steps, you’d be entered into a drawing for a chance to win the grand prize, which is 10,000 U.S dollars.

Background

The whole idea behind this giveaway is to help college students with their textbooks and tuition fees. Based on official Venmo reports, 64% of 2020’s graduating class borrowed $29,000 on average, signaling a 13% increase from the previous decade.

In that giveaway, Venmo and Jack Harlow wanted to help college students in any possible way. Even if the student wasn’t able to win the grand prize, they’d still win something with the spinning wheel.

Before the event, Harlaw tweeted, “I partnered with [Venmo] to give out $100K because college is expensive.”

Withdrawing the Money

The only way to withdraw the money you receive on Venmo is to link a bank account or card to your Venmo account. To do this, open your profile, and under “Payment Methods”, choose “Card” or “Bank Account”. Enter the required details, and you’re good to go.

If you don’t have a bank account, you can sign up for a Venmo debit card. You can apply for a Venmo debit card by navigating to the “Cards” tab in the Venmo app and choosing “Venmo Debit Card”. Fill out the form and wait to hear back from Venmo on your card status.

More About Jack Harlow

Jack Harlow (full name: Jackman Thomas Harlow) is an American rapper. Born in Louisville, Kentucky, Harlow is one of the youngest rappers in the American rap scene.

He was born in 1998, and while Jackman has never gone to college himself, he’s well aware of the financial struggles that a big chunk of college students go through to earn their degrees. This has led him to agree to the partnership with Venmo.

He’s currently signed to Generation Now, a record label founded by DJ Drama and Don Cannon.

With this giveaway, all college students who participated won something, even if it’s not the grand prize.
